But I wasnât always this way⊠I used to turn to food for every emotion I felt. Whether I was sad, anxious, bored, lonely or even happy, I would eat.
& this bled into my relationships. I stopped saying yes to date nights & nights out with friends.
I didnât want to eat out or stay out too late and miss my morning workout. So I'd be at home, feel isolated & sad that I didnât go, and end up eating instead.

My workouts? They needed to be perfect. 60 mins not 59 mins.

If I was tired? I worked out anyway & pushed myself through it.

Someone asked me to do something I didnât want to do or eat something I didnât want?âŠ
I said yes anyways because I didnât value myself enough to say yes to what I really wanted. I cared way too much about what other people thought.
But this didnât feel like the real me. I knew I needed to start saying yes to myself more than food because it became the main source of pleasure & joy in my life.
I stopped holding onto the story that food was the main source of pleasure in my life and I let myself experience pleasure outside of food.

So I said YES to healing my relationship with food.

YES to letting go of people pleasing tendencies, the all or nothing perfectionist mentality, speaking up for myself & respecting myself enough to stop when I was full.

YES to spontaneous date nights with my husband without looking at the menu a week before

YES to getting a massage on a random Tuesday afternoon because I deserved to feel good

YES to letting myself sleep in because I was worthy of letting myself rest when I needed it

YES to starting a business and putting myself out there because I know I had an incredible gift to make an impact on peopleâs lives

& I became the unstoppable badass woman that was always within me.
